We are two blocks east of historic, downtown Leadville. Morning Star began serving children September 2005. The center is licensed by the State of Colorado, Division of Child Care.

Toddlers - Age 1 - 2 ½
Your toddler will be busy enjoying a wide variety of fun and creative activities designed for learning and healthy growth. Confidence increases as each new accomplishment is praised. Morning Star’s teachers receive ongoing professional training to insure that techniques implemented are current with today’s research on children’s physical, social, and cognitive development.

| Preschool - Age 2 ½ - 4
Our preschool curriculum is teacher directed yet adaptable, incorporating topics that interest and excite young children. The lessons presented each day are educational; encompassing pre-reading, mathematics, language development, science, art, and music. Your child will establish close friendships in our home-like, fun, and comfortable atmosphere. Morning Star’s fun playground is designed to promote healthy physical growth, balance, and coordination.

Two playgrounds are available at Morning Star Child Care -- one for our toddlers and another for the older children. Fun playstructures with slides, climbers, a bridge, and tunnel are installed in each playground for the children to enjoy. The swingset is a favorite! To insure the safety of the children, all equipment was built and installed according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Public Playground Safety guidlines. |
| Teachers at Morning Star are experienced and highly trained. We attend conferences and workshops on an annual basis to keep up with the latest research in early childhood education. We are experts at preparing young children for future academic success! |

But mostly we're about the KIDS! We consider it an honor to be entrusted with the care of children. We take this responsibility seriously.
