We are located next to the library. Morning Star began serving children September 2005. The center is licensed by the State of Colorado, Division of Child Care.

Our classrooms are warm and inviting. Children quickly feel right at home! A large number of toys and educational tools are available to occupy your child throughout the day

Developmental Kindergarten - Age 4 - 5
The older child needs a place designed for learning and practicing skills necessary for success in future formal education. Morning Star’s Developmental Kindergarten offers a full-, or part-day program for children currently enrolled in a public school kindergarten, or planning to enroll in the upcoming Fall term. Our teachers are professional educators with many years experience in the classroom. Preschool and Developmental Kindergarten children are formally evaluated each November and April. Parent/Teachers conferences are held annually and are available upon request.

| School-Age - Age 5 -12 Morning Star offers a comprehensive school-age program designed for the working parent. School-age children may enroll in our morning, or after school class, our “no school” care, and our summer camp. Teachers plan an active curriculum to keep the older child busy. Field trips to sites around Lake County are often scheduled for those “no school” days, and as a primary component of our summer camp program.

Teachers at Morning Star are experienced and highly trained. We attend conferences and workshops on an annual basis to keep up with the latest research in early childhood education. We are experts at preparing young children for future academic success! |
| But mostly we're about the KIDS! We consider it an honor to be entrusted with the care of children. We take this responsibility seriously. Parents are invited to meet with their child's teachers on a regular basis. Children at Morning Star are valued and affirmed for the amazing people that they are! |
